My part of NW New Jersey has no sidewalks or street lights and deer, bear, turkey and all manner of critters roam through our property. Really! I can hunt and fish without having to get in my car.

Newport Beach, California
Good place to run, fair place to flyfish in the surf, great place to meditate, but getting pretty crowded.

Ohio just can't be beat. More presidents come from here than any other place. It doesn't get any better than this!!

Solingen in Germany, because it is a nice city with friendly people, woods, parks and some serious knife production. (Boker, Puma, Eickhorn, etc., etc.)

Living on the Swedish west coast, I am fortunate to be able to enjoy my (next to spydies) greatest passion; sportsfishing.

I live on the peninsula in the SFBay. I like the fact that the peninsula has (it seems like) 300 days of perfect or near perfect weather. I also like the fact that the ocean is less than 1 hour away, great skiing is less than 4 hours away. I also like the fact that I can talk to people about esoteric computer stuff (Ruby, GPRS internet connections, SANs vs. NAS) and they don't look at my like I have broccoli sprouting from my eyebrows. I also like Spydercos.
