I think Bento Box has them, $59.97. Not bad considering their other prices.
My response is "Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it isn't there, it just means you can't see it". Sal G.

I believe Spyderco is redesigning the sheath, so I'd expect a new run to not come to market until the sheath is updated.

Thanks for the information. Any word on what's changing? I'll wait for more info before buying one then. I know I'll pick one up eventually though. Gonna put a super thin edge on it too :)

The ARK itself is not changing. Spyderco, as you know, is in a near-constant state of evolution and improvement with all their knives.

The ARK is only 2mm thick at the spine, so it's already very easy to get razor sharp.

We had a few come loose so we're improving the retention.

Sal, would you ever consider an Ark like knife with the same shape or perhaps a spear point, with a blade in the 3.5-4 or 5 inch range?

Do you mean as a neck knife? I have my issues with neck knives. The Ark is very light and even so, we had a number of sheath issues. I am hesitant to consider a larger, heavier model.

Yeah I was considering a heavier model more as a general purpose knife. I guess the upcoming Jump Master 2 could fit that desire. But I was thinking something like the Ark but with a slightly longer blade. It is an overall good design, I think, even with the problems you mentioned. Thank you :)

I had convinced myself that I have enough knives, but I need an ARK, maybe two.

It looks like a very nice model usable for many things. H1 is always good, I'll be keeping an eye out for one. I'll let you know what I find.

The ARK is a neck knife only because it is the only practical way to carry a knife even when you're naked. For most people, most of the time, carry options other than neck knives are more secure, convenient, and faster into action.

Spyderco's G Clip is a terrific, low profile option for IWB or OWB carry of small to medium sized knives, and I think it should be the preferred option for small FB mounting.

The mold is being changed now for the new sheath. Shouldn't be too long and we'll be back into production. It's more important that it be right. Especially with this particular model which is function critical.
