He does a lot of knives with the Spyderco hole. He created a thread here years back introducing himself. I think he was hoping for a collaboration. It received a lot of interest but I'm not sure what ever happened with it.

I can tell you if certainly be interested in a collaboration.

I looked at his site....a bit confusing. But some model listings said they had something to do with Spyderco. Every piece he says he does is unique and no two are alike. Some examples were going for close to $800+ that I saw. But man...what a beautiful piece of work.

I kinda like the blade shape but that's about it. For me, a very very large part of why the Yojimbo 2 is so awesome is the handle design. You could put any blade shape in that handle and it would be a winner for me.

This is sort of off topic and we usually discuss other brands and other makers there. If you like the blade shape of the Yojimbo then there are plenty of alternatives. The tactical wharncliffe market is covered pretty well by most manufacturers and many custom makers. There is also a plethora of reverse tantos and modified wharncliffes to choose from. In the end even though there are many similarities the Yojimbo is simply a well thought out design that provides a secure purchase, a comfortable grip and the ability to make strong powerful cuts. I will stick with my Yojimbo. ;) I am not into SD knives myself and carry a Yojimbo as a box cutter on steroids. :D

I LOVE 'box cutter on steroids'!!!
I commented before about the way the Yoji handle just melts into the hand. An amazing build of a fantastic design!

Not sure why the Cold Steel Tuff-Lite hasn't been mentioned. It is smaller than the Yo2...but when you look at actual edge length it is very comparable. And it retains an aggressive cutting ability without looking scary

I also think duscussing knives of other makers should perhaps better happen in the off topic section... but a Spyderco alternative to the Yo 2 would be the Canis of course
