The sticky lock thing is pretty common on compression locks. There are a number of things you can try.
1) Rub the tip of a pencil on the lock face, or if you have some powdered graphite put a very small amount in that area.
2) Simply open/close it over and over. Regardless of what you do this will benefit and smooth out the lock in the long run.
3) Loosen both sides of the stop pin screws and rotate the stop pin until a different spot on the pin is engaging the lock bar. Snug them back down and see if that changes anything.
4) A combination of all of those, and/or put a tiny bit of grease on the lock face with a toothpick, wipe off any excess.
