Good knife to carry in a bra?

Hi,

My wife have used her SS Harpy VG-10 to companion her when running.
Apparently, sweat is not that great for the inner of the knife (duh), the Harpy is now more or less impossible for her to operate single handed.
Off course I will try to get the Harpy back to top notch action with some corrosive dilution, but I am looking for something more suited to wear in her bra.

The SALT series looks like they would be the answer here, but since the VG-10 blade in her Harpy looks perfect I cannot really see the point in a H1 blade. Is the mechanics in the Salt series better protected too, or is it "only" the blade?

The thing about Salt knives is not just the H1 blade, but the fact that there are no liners to rust either. Your Harpy's VG10 blade didn't rust, but the liners still did, which compromised the pivot action. This won't happen on a Salt knife. I've had mine in the ocean for hours at a time and they open just like they did when new.

I can tell you this much, boob sweat is dangerous stuff. And I say that both to be funny and to state a fact LOL. My wife once killed a cell phone by sticking it in her bra on a hot day because she was wearing a dress and didn't have any pockets. Sweat is loaded with salt and all kinds of rust promoting bad stuff, so if she prefers to carry in that location, I would highly recommend a Salt knife.

100% agree, Evil. Another nice thing about the FRN Salts is that the blades, pivot and backsprings are easily removed for cleaning. (At the expense of violating the warranty...) If you take your Salt blade to the beach and get sand in the works, sometimes complete disassembly and washing is a lot more effective that just a fresh-water rinse. Absolutely fantastic knives.

Ya know, on a serious note I don't recall ever hearing much complaint about the stainless handled knives rusting under reasonable conditions. Since in this case only the liners rusted, this actually may not be a bad idea.

I don't actually know what you mean. The ARK was designed to be an intuitive defensive option for deployed service members with no knife training. The first three troops who tested it were female, and only one had any martial arts training.

Really?? Sure didn't know that. I'm curious to see what you've got planned for us next. I don't have any of your knives at the moment, but I love the ergonomics on all of your designs. Still kind of regret not picking up a Tuff while they were available.

The ARK would make a good choice, at only 0.9 oz. It is longer than a folder is closed, but it is light and requires little dexterity (which goes away under duress) so might be the best choice.
