Showed as in stock on TQK just a few minutes ago. Placed my order, then immediately received a call that they were in fact OUT OF STOCK. Strange.

At any rate, he said they are expecting another shipment in "a couple of weeks".

Thanks for the tip, ordered one and cancelled my KC preorder....I wasn't going to get this one at first( like the SB )...changed my mind and ordered 3 weeks later in early December...was too far down the list....she said they had 103 Preorders...crazy...
Didn't want to make the SB mistake again.

Spoke with someone at KW and this was not a preorder. They had a limited quantity that went very fast. Now they've switched to PRE-ORDER mode.

Haha I also talked to knifeworks and they said they will only take pre-order's for the quantity they are expected to receive. They had 5 pre-orders in already, well 6 now, and are taking it down after 20.

She told me it's not technically a pre-order because they have a definite quantity they will receive on Monday and then ship out to those who placed orders. I guess we'll see what actually happens.

Whew, must have got one of the last of that batch...this may be the most popular Hap 40.. Didn't expect that ...probably should have with all the SB raves...that's what got me to give the D2 a shot in he first place.

Agreed, the Delica and the Dfly will be very sought after down the road, the Dfly is a twofer for sure, got to have a back up on this one ;)

Does CS not run with an inventory cut off when they sell out?

I guess they do: I no longer see an "add to cart" button. It was there an hour ago (when I ordered one).

The way to know out of stock at CS is of the "add to cart" button goes away.

They forgot to implement a 2 delica Hap40 limit per order and ran out of stock quickly without updating anything. My order was placed and my card was charged instantly. Then got an email informing me of the mistake. Waited a week for the charge on my card to roll off. I wasn't mad about the being out of stock mistake I was mad about my card being insta-charged. I've ordered from them before with no complaints.
