I wish it took a look at the catalog to make me need more <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>s. Seems that I find I need more spydies just by waking up in the morning <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

ARGH! I hope to get mine soon! I can't wait for that SS Cricket, I am planning to get a couple, one for me and one for my dad, both in SE (I love those tiny sharp teeth!). I gave my dad a Toad for X-mas and he loved it. I am sure he will love the insect as well. The small reverse S blade is way too cool not to like! Imagine all that in a SS package! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I LOVE the **** outta my SE FRN
cricket! I haven't slept with a
"weapon"<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> since the Army I left in
'83'! I MEAN IT! I wake up with the
"volcanoe pattern" embedded in my right
hip!<img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> The SS SE is bound to be
easier though.<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Although if it's
COLD, look out!<img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
Now, did you get your Kiwi?

Also got my catalog today, excellent surprise. Kudos to the Spyderco MARCOM dept. for the new layout, readability, and graphics. I liked the 2002 catalog, but this one is even better.
(And Allen, I thought the same thing when I saw the “dodo”, looks similar to a Dialex blade, very non-traditional and futuristic!)

Yes, the 2003 catalog is beautifully designed and well done. The star of the show has got to be the Cricket SS. I just might have to get one of each. The Chinook II looks very exciting. And yeah, that DoDo is crazy man! Gotta have one. The Spydersaw will find it's way into my rucksack as well. Finally, I find I'm really warming up to the S.P.O.T Anything else? Well, let me take another look at the catalog...

Wow. Just amazing. I have to get one of those SS Crickets, the thing's calling me! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
I also noticed <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> seems to have 86'd 440V in favor of VG-10 and S30V. Good idea, in my humble opinion. No one wants a steel they can't sharpen.
Never underestimate the impossible.

Funny, I've never had a problem keeping my Military shaving sharp. It just requires occasional touch-up. The other day, I cut 6 large cardboard packing boxes into 6 in by 12 in sections and the knife stlii sliced thin strips of newspaper when I was done.
However, it will be interesting to get a Millie in S30V and compare its performance to S60V (CM440V). So far, I really like both steels, with S30V being amazingly tough, yet holding a very sharp edge extremely well. The one caveat with the Millie is I hope <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> keeps that flat grind configuration with a great cutting belly so the Millie remains a top-flight slicer. If they go to hollow grind or another configuration, all bets may be off.

OK, here are some pics. First, the excellent cover. The small pic here does not do it justice.
