A manbug is my one constant. I recently switched to the superblue after giving my brother the zdp-189 manbug that lived on my keys

Just wondering Jazz, hows the knife in terms of blade play after such pressure?
Great review, thanks for sharing
My Ladybug developed some significant vertical play after I opened an ordinary blister pack one day. I still carry it on my keys for the trivial tasks, but that kinda ruined the idea of a small knife for me. I'm sticking to the 3 inch plus sized blades.

I gave my wife a purple ladie bug last year or so

I don't know how I'd feel with that small of a blade on me for my main blade.

I don't think it will be enough.

I've been wrong many times before

I enjoyed the video
Have you ever seen that video of using the ARK for self defense? Do not sell the Manbug short! It is true that for some things you need a longer blade, that is why they have carvers, skinners, bread, and all sorts of knives. But the Manbug is up to most tasks people think they need a larger knife for.

I'm sold

It's on the list.

I prefer zdp189 but I'm not going to be to picky.

This Little guy is so small I can sharpen it in a minute or less ok maybe 2

Nice, and remember, if you put a fob on it - any kind of knot - it'll be easier to open and use. I keep saying that because it's true.

Some like the fob. I have one, but on my G10 I prefer it without. But I know most like them.

If you could improve the Manbug, how would you see it improved?

There isn't much I would change on the Manbug, except maybe make the tip of blade more like the Ladybug's (I.e. less belly at the tip).

I was going to say stainless steel, but before I could even do that I changed my mind...Titanium...YUP, that's it I want a Titanium Manbug..zdp 189 would pair up nicely.....SB or Hap40 would be the ultimate, I guess if I'm gonna dream, dream big.

For knives in general, what's the purpose of a huge sweeping belly like that, as what's found on the Manbug? Does it serve a particular cutting purpose better than another blade that has less of a belly?

It's what I wrote (well I add more options :D ) on the "We (I) want a Titanium Ladybug" thread.

If you want it more pointy, simply run the belly part across a sharpening stone til it's how you like it. Real easy mod. I like the shape a lot how it is. I wouldn't change a thing. I would like a sheepsfoot version too, though.

I like the blade shape over the Ladybug. It is better for slicing and skinning, etc.

What I would like is not a change to the Manbug, but a Superbug that is purely a Manbug stretched out to a 2.5" blade. I would want it to keep its dimension ratio and not be tall from the handle spine to the finger grip area like the Chicago.

I'd love a slightly longer FRN linerless Spydie, Doc.

Yes! A slightly longer Manbug (Superbug) would be fantastic. Add a wire clip and = perfection!

I'm so friggin' ready for the HAP40 Manbug! Really hoping for an H1 as well. I have the VG10, Superblue, and the G10 version. Haven't picked up a ZDP yet but that's coming soon! The Manbug is one of my favorite Spyderco models for sure.

Anyone heard anything about when the HAP40 one is slated for release?
