Re-grinding services?

#1

Post by gac »

I mucked up my Endura when using the blade to scrape wallpaper off plaster. Can anyone list places that do any regrinding services. I cannot tell if Tom Krein still does that work or not.

You could probably send it in to Spyderco's warranty and repair dept' for a small fee as well.

Josh, Big Chris has been mentioned. I'd add Jason B and Heavy Handed over BF.

Thanks again for all the suggestions.

I thought of sending the Endura to the factory and paying the repair costs but I'm thinking about getting a flat grind. If the work has to be done anyway I figure I may as well have it thinned. I've no other flat grind ones - unless Mules count as flat grind.

No pic handy right now. The damage is not so awful but more than I want to take the time on.

I'll second Josh over at Razor Edge; he flat ground an old originally saber ground BM for me and took a ZT down to .125" from .156"; he did a great job on both.

This thread makes baby Jesus cry.

Where are all the sweet regrind pictures?
On my radar: 110V Military, Police 4 and some sweet Rex 45 Military action.

Well done Holland.

Could I see a picture of the side of them blades please?

Who did them and I bet they are slicing machines.
