Re-grinding services?
Re-grinding services?
I mucked up my Endura when using the blade to scrape wallpaper off plaster. Can anyone list places that do any regrinding services. I cannot tell if Tom Krein still does that work or not.
Re: Re-grinding services?
Contact Big Chris Custom knives.
Re: Re-grinding services?
Big Chris reground a couple of my knives and they came out perfect, highly recommend him

Re: Re-grinding services?
I'll do it for free as I'm working on my grinding skills now! Getting close to finished with my Tanto ambitious regrind :)
Re: Re-grinding services?
Josh, Big Chris has been mentioned. I'd add Jason B and Heavy Handed over BF.

They do great work. I had a D4 with a destroyed edge that they reground for me.Johnnie1801 wrote:You could probably send it in to Spyderco's warranty and repair dept' for a small fee as well.
Re: Re-grinding services?
Thanks again for all the suggestions.
I thought of sending the Endura to the factory and paying the repair costs but I'm thinking about getting a flat grind. If the work has to be done anyway I figure I may as well have it thinned. I've no other flat grind ones - unless Mules count as flat grind.

Re: Re-grinding services?
Out of curiosity, what kind of damage is it? Got a pic?
Re: Re-grinding services?
No pic handy right now. The damage is not so awful but more than I want to take the time on.
Re: Re-grinding services?
I'll second Josh over at Razor Edge; he flat ground an old originally saber ground BM for me and took a ZT down to .125" from .156"; he did a great job on both.

Well done Holland.
Could I see a picture of the side of them blades please?
Who did them and I bet they are slicing machines.
