I feel like this gets brought up every few months. I'm guilty of creating a thread or two requesting this very thing. With the new Lil' Lum on the way it looks like Spyderco is still happy to work with his designs. Who knows, maybe a sprint or new production Lum Tanto will happen someday.

For now, I'm gonna focus on the ATR. I've been asking and waiting for that one for years.

I would prefer a 2.5" or 2.75" length blade in S30V (at 2.5 mm thick), dark gray stonewashed Ti scales, RIL frame lock, and a tip-up stamped clip similar to the one of the Tusk.

The exact same knife as is would be PERFECT! :D

No "li'l" sh..tuff please! Lum tanto folder either the same as the disco'd one or a sprint. NoFair - I like the Ivory Micarta idea! That or ebony would be deadly!

Ohhhhhhh that would be nice! But I'd take any sprint of the C46
Flash Batch request: Flat Iron Salt (CE w/ yellow FRN)
New knife request: Police 4 Salt!!!

If only one "type" will be done, I'd rather have the regular (previous) sized version of the lum tanto!

a compression would be cool, but i'd be all in on a classic as well!

I do agree with others that a steel like m4, m390, s110v, elmax, cts 204p, cpm 20cv or even s35vn would be nice!

Agree on all points. Original preferred over mini, compression is probably not in the cards but would be great, I'd go for any of the steels mentioned (less interested in elmax unless run on the harder end of its range), or Hap40 or Cruwear. Dreamin' on ...

Thanks, man. :D Maybe we could gain more interest in the Lil Tanto if we switch out to M4? ;) :D

I would prefer ful size. A sprint in just about any steel would be great.

Mildly dreaming: polished g10 or smooth cf like he Caly3.5 zip.

Wild dreaming: complete redesign to incorporate compression lock.

Don't think we will see a lil lum tanto as Bob has passed away.

J32A2 may have a point. I believe that the Lil' Lum (Chinese Folder) was based off of an actual Bob Lum design. By contrast, a Lil' Lum Tanto might take a bit more work in R&D assuming Bob never made a smaller version. Not necessarily impossible, but perhaps more challenging. It's a good thing Spyderco enjoys a good challenge. ;)
