Hmm, I wonder whatever it was in this thread that made me sign up and make my first post in this very thread? Surely it couldn't have been the picture of the lovely Simona!

Anyway, from what I remember of last years trip to Prague, the knifeshops were very well eqipped, and from the knives I handled I find it very unlikely that imitation knives were sold in any of them.

I spent quite some time browsing in one particular gun/knife-store, when waiting for my friends. I think it lay on one of the streets leading to Staromstske namesti, or at least one of the larger squares. Know which one I mean, Simona? (If you're still there? ) The prices on US cutlery were horrendous, as they are here in Norway. But I bought cheap parts for my friend's CZ75 and pepper spray for some of our female friends, so I didn't leave emptyhanded

Fantastic city, I'll certainly go there again. Brilliant beer, good nightlife on the weekends (only foreigners went to clubs on weekdays, it seems).

We were on sort of an official student trip (well, getting drunk out of our heads seemed like decent official student business), and we even managed to visit the Charles University while we were there (the computer science dept. near the castle).

Anyway, lurker no more Today, my only Spyderco is a Civilian, but Linda is seeing to changing that as we speak. Military, Delica and Rescue jr will soon be on their way I hope.

Edited: Btw, nice website, Simona. :D Feet are not really my thing, but to each his own.

to sal ::: Thank you for your reply and explanation,i dont think, really, that Spyderco is some fraudulent company. On the contrary.I got good feeling from your message, that your are able solve problem unknown (and perhaps unpleasant also ) girl from far state and its really pleasant.
Its pity, that you post your messages today and no yesterday, because today morning i give knife back to shop and they give me back money without gups, its really pity, because if your messages posted yesterday here, i send this knife to you and you will see, that im not some liar and etc.
I have not reason do it, believe me.

Hey Simona,

Welcome to the forums. I think you're a hit here. Aside from your exotic beauty, I think that your straight foward and from the heart comments have gotten some of our forumites attention. Remember tho, people here may not agree with your opinions but they will respect them if put foward with same respect. Again welcome and thanks for the fresh breath of air.

one thing which i am really curious about is, why did you choose a knife for self-defense? imho it is a really difficult device to handle correctly. imagine if you had not hit the guys leg but his neck... (i suppose in a fight that might indeed happen). thats why i'D rather use a spray or something. perhaps i'm being sheepish on that but laws over here in germany are such that even if you killed an opponent as an act of self-defense you WILL be in real bad trouble. so i'D prefer a method by which an attacker will be stopped but not seriously harmed.

to kith::: Hi,welcome in our wild forum .)
Mmmm, yes, i agree with you,you have truth, but i need not knife for some defense only, but i feel good knife as hi-tech "hardware" also, notnot for some defense only, nice piece from modern material, you can find there human inventions, what wonder, when see some brand knives...,its my opinion.
And in addition, i like guns

Summer '03 I'll be taking a trip to Germany and Austria. Taking a few days to visit Prague might be a worth while venture.

Simona - I can tell from your taste in makeup that you are a true Spydie lover at heart. And other places too!

What a sweetheart and entertainer you are.

Al is quite correct - a bonnie lass indeed
