Man, Max those darn counterfeit products are just killing everyone....
Never would've guessed yours is that old! It's a beautiful watch, man.
Yeah, Ill never let go of my MudMaster.
Thanks Mac, going off your beautiful Edifice it would seem we have similar taste and both appreciate the finer things in life without going overboard. The guys on YouTube showing off their million dollar Richard Mille always make me chuckle.

😳 I’ve never understood the luxury watch market. But then, I can’t just buy Mediterranean villas with my chump change.

That's a sweet combo, Toxophilus

I had the Khaki auto for a little while, but I wasn't paying attention and bought mine just after they transitioned to the "new" 3Hz movements. While the added power reserve is a nice bonus, my OCD got really hung up on the 3Hz sweep not being as smooth as the 4Hz sweep.... silly thing, but that's how it is sometimes.
After I sold it I got a good deal on a Mechanical with the old ETA movement. A very different watch, despite being so similar. Love the slim profile and the ceremonial winding every morning, but the blasted case, and to some degree the lower WR rating, makes it a lot less versatile than the auto.

Thx, I was able to snag this one with the ETA 2824 movement off of BForums over the Summer; though I do see there’s discontinued Navy GMT on there now for a really good price…

Thanks for the heads up!
...but in fear of temptation I won't even go look. Trying to, or at least my intention is to, bring my watch collection/selection down to a reasonable number. Buying another one isn't totally out of the question, but should come as part of a deliberate consolidation process, after selling off at least 2, that it will replace.

Watches are fun, for sure, and I don't regret any of them. It takes time, trial and error to develop preferences and find the right one(s). I'm almost at the end of that journey and basically just rotate between 2-3 regularly and maybe throw in a fourth for more formal occasions. The rest are just staring at me from the watch case, probably bringing me more guilt than joy at this point :D

A Japanese next to a Chinese blingmeister I guess is what they're calling it online. Had gotten the gold one for my pops birthday but he didn't like it so I was kinda stuck with it. It never gets worn and hasn't been synchronized in months yet is only 3 seconds off current atomic time!

And then I was scouring the bay and saw this... a triple sensor titanium case and bracelet sapphire ProTrek. I just had to share with the class.

I own Casios made in Japan, China and Thailand as well as cased in China and Thailand and build quality is exceptional on all of them. Thai and Chinese people also need jobs to feed their families.

Man, I still love this Vallotton as much as the day I first saw it in 2014 & ordered it. Action is smooth as silk, that tip would go thru a car door lol, she's just beautiful...
