After vivid learning about the world of fine folders in this forum for the last two months, I decided to enter it with my new and first Spyderco in my life: the slicy Native Chief. And I am LOVING IT!!!!!

Love these budget Casios. I’ve gotten them for 3/4 of my kids. The 4th is my tiny 5yo girl. They don’t make a satisfactory model sized for her. Problem is, I want them to be able to swim and shower with them (50m wr) as well as have the backlight rather than the anemic side light. I’m gonna have to sacrifice one of those things to get her something with a chance of fitting.

Try a Swatch Flik Flak for the 5yo daughter Made for kids have a 3-5 and 5-8 range. :cool:

She’s got a little Timex analog. She want a digital like her siblings :D

Parra 3 (Lynch deep carry clip) and Omega Speedmaster

I got the watch to the right for my daughter, I think it was for her 6th birthday. She has very skinny wrists and it fits very well. The light isn't anything to write home about, but kids almost never use a backlight. They have great vision and the screen on this watch is crystal clear, the digits almost looks printed.
I don't know the model number, but if you want it, I can look it up when she comes back from school.

Thanks, that model is actually the one I’ve finally settled on for its size. There is a light pink/white face version that she has chosen.

Nice Speedy! I have one inbound due Monday. I was born in '69 and have always wanted one. Figured I better jump since Omega just disco'd the 1861/1863 movement versions. Its a year late for my 50th but will be a major milestone none the less.

I'm not sure how much water it has been exposed to. Girls are generally more careful, and I think she usually remembers to take it off before she goes swimming. It's still in good shape after approx. 2 years, thats all I can say.
Got a 100m WR analogue for the boy :-) It's beat up pretty badly, but still ticking away.

The watch in the picture is a H3 GWS G10 pro diver
They've released a lithium version with better battery life since I bought mine, but it comes at the expense of a slightly thicker case. Both versions are still available:

Thank you! That is a really clean looking watch. I greatly appreciate the screw down crown! I’ve been all in for automatics, but recently got that G-Shock 5610 which is of course quartz, with atomic timekeeping and solar power... I might be able to find it in my heart to add a quartz analog :D

I'd love one too. I don't think I would like a 42mm watch, but I think I'd make an exception for a Speedy. Especially since they have the new calibre that is a master chronometer.

That Orange Speedmaster is one of the best looking watches I've seen in awhile.
