Gold is not my thing. Even my wedding band is white gold... hmm where is that thing...

This was a gift from the parents. They are coming over for a visit, so figured I'd wear it. Only if it was some other color combination...

Nice, Alex. Love the Seiko.
Thanks Josh! :)

It was a gift from my brother for my 21st birthday. I wore it every day since for at least twenty years and it shows I s’pose. It got knocked around when I was steel erecting (iron worker). It was never off my wrist and I wore it surfing, scuba diving, water skiing ... and it never missed a beat.

It sits in a draw now.

Thanks for sharing some tales, it is quite clear that it was a trusty companion for years.

You are probably familiar with the IMDB.com, IMCDB.org or IMFDB.org that catalog and cross reference movies, actors, cars and firearms. So I searched for one for movie watches.

The closest thing I could find was https://www.watch-id.com/. Unlike the first three that allow anyone to contribute to the database and have little to no advertising, watch-id is closed to outside contributors and choked with advertising and links to buy.

It is fun to explore and informative, specially when you catch a glimpse in a movie of an interesting looking watch with which you are not familiar, which in my case is almost all of them. Search by personality, movie or watch.

My combo for the day:

Lil' Native 4v and G-Shock GW-B5600HR-1JF
Red doesn't exactly match but the wire clip and bull bar pull it together.

No watch, but this is what’s on me most days. I’ll mix up the knife sometimes, but the Manix 2 LW gets the most pocket time.

But in reality, there is nothing quite like a gun. And it has been said, "The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun".

Does that complexity decrease the simplicity? Not at all.
