I enjoy the overall quality of Fossil options considering the competition at their pricepoint.

What may I ask is the wallet-type item in the background? I'm looking for a non-wallet...or an antiwallet etc.

I stopped wearing a watch about 5 years ago but I still have this guy I bought as a gift to myself 25 years ago. I wore it every day for 20 years but now prefer to be more low key in public so it's become a (well used) 'safe queen'.

My watch has been losing a few minutes a day. Think I'm gonna have to regulate it soon.

It’s been a while, but here’s a quick pick of my IWC restored Seiko 6105-8110 with my C54 Serrated Calypso. Two tough beasts. :spyder:

Sadly have few "good" watches left. But here is the Native salt with my old citizen ti which I've worn for a while... The thing's been outdoors on bikes and such so much the red SUNDAY marking has faded to almost be white lol.

Sorry no knife but this happened yesterday while at work. I didn't even feel it happen, I just felt it flipping on my wrist. I didn't need the reassurance but after that I am definitely a Nato strap man for life.

Go to a Omega Boutique and buy a few Omega spring bars. Best on the market for about $1 each if they charge you. ( PS.. don’t wear the Hamilton whilst asking ;) )

A lot thicker than your cheap ones

Spring-bars are not all alike so buy Swiss ones if you can, a lot of cheap ones from China bought by the thousands and repacked as brand name ones for 10x the price by watch strap sellers

On one hand I like the sound of this, but on the other hand I would rather the bar fail than it rip the holes out of my watch. I've had that happen on a couple cheaper watches in the past. I'm not sure if I should worry about it with a titanium watch but I also have no idea how something like that could be fixed either.

Have a extensive watch collection
No issue with a titanium watch, common on cheaper SS watches. A thicker Springbar like a Omega one will stop the wear on the cheaper watches you mention

I nearly lost a $5k Speedmaster with a strap fail a few months ago  it’s on a doubled leather strap now.

Although laser welding is used a lot in the watch game, especially for lug hole repair and refreshing of watches that are worth 10x what they were worth ie: vintage Rolex sub,s

Never had a strap or spring bar fail, but there is something to be said for a NATO strap.
First, it is highly unlikely the strap would fail and if a spring bar fails
the remaining spring bar provides a safety net as shown by standy99.

Back in the day, I bought a long NATO strap with the idea in mind
of wearing it outside the sleeve of my motorcycle jacket
so I could check the time while riding.
It was not quite long enough and by the time I discovered longer ones
I had quit riding.

Gold is not my thing. Even my wedding band is white gold... hmm where is that thing...

This was a gift from the parents. They are coming over for a visit, so figured I'd wear it. Only if it was some other color combination...
