Spyderco fixed blade users...rank them!
i only have had 2: leaf Enuff and PE Aqua Salt. Who uses them and where do you rank them in order of usability? I am sure we will get lots of "Swicks" and "Mules"...

Re: Spyderco fixed blade users...rank them!
I have used my S110V Mule extensively. It is one of only a few knives that I have backups for. It has been used in the kitchen, in the yard, in the garden, while hiking, while camping, while ice fishing and it has done a bit of game processing. I processed a muley buck and an elk cow with it this year. Just recently picked up a Bradley Bowie and while it is very nice I haven't had time to use it yet. Also just picked up a Street Beat which is beautiful but I have only carried it a couple of times. Most of my other fixed blades are other brands and most of them are 1095.
I do love my Swicks too.
I expect to hear a lot of people say southfork as número uno.

1. Southfork
2. Swick
Don't own a Bradley Bowie yet but I have handled one and it is a VERY nice knife!

1. Southfork 2. Sprig. 3. S110v mule 4. Aqua Salt 5. Temp 2 Edited 12/24 Sprig has raced into second place. Haven't used it yet but it is about as close to perfection as a production fixed blade gets. Time will tell if it moves into the number one ranking. REALLY liking the Sprig :spyder:
Still hoping for a Phil Wilson designed fillet knife (Shelter Cove) or similar with 8 or 9" blade. I have multiple fillet knives but would still purchase a Spydie and depending upon steel, a couple for gifts. Please Sal and Phil, just knowing it will happen would be a great Christmas gift. Thanks
My S110v Mule rides in my car, used it today to open boxes. Frequent user, put a razor sharp edge on it today, :spyder:

Just received the Gayle Bradley Bowie the other day. Haven't had time to use it yet, but first impression is it's...sahweeeeeet! This is my first Spyderco fixed blade, so it has to be my number one :)

I had one. The design never really resonated with me. Don't care for the tip which borders on "sheepsfoot".twinboysdad wrote:El gringo no tienes un Aqua Salt?Surfingringo wrote:1. Southfork

The Ronin2 :D is the next on the list to get, and then there is the Sprig when it comes out.twinboysdad wrote:Reject wrote: Am I blind or is the Ronin 2 the only one missing?
There are a couple of models of the Spot missing.
Then there is the elusive model FB13 :spyder: ; beautiful knife, :o but almost impossible to find.
How much can a Koala bear?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't think there was such a thing as an FB13? :confused:Reject wrote:The Ronin2 :D is the next on the list to get, and then there is the Sprig when it comes out.

It looks like you also need the 440C Golden-made Whale Rescue Blade.

Brings a :D to this ole mug. You shouldn't have any problem ranking the fixed blades :p
Re: Spyderco fixed blade users...rank them!
1) Street Beat Micarta - awesome
2) Swick 4 - very good and light
3) Enuff Salt - bad sheath + I didn't like the sheepsfoot, so I ground it off.

Re: Spyderco fixed blade users...rank them!
Good thread. I've recently been looking deeper into more of the Spyderco Fixed line-up as well!
Rejects thread has been a big part of that, so thanks for posting all that up! :)
(Oh, and are you still missing a Mule from that family photo!??)
I currently only have a couple Mule Teams. One gets quite a bit of use and I really enjoy it.
Subscribing here to read input from others.
I have a few models in my mind to purchase next year, but won't bother posting up since I don't have any experience with them yet.
Seems overall ranking will be tough though, since there are so many smaller categories and sizes within the range.

Enuff was a great user but I had the 1st gen sheath that sucked and sold it as a result. I bet the 2nd gen sheath rocks
