I'm going with El gato, post 12. There were several who did fairly well with rhyme and number of syllables per line (if not meter :rolleyes: ) but El gato captured the intent of the limerick: to tell a story, set up the audience for an answer, then succinctly lower the boom with a funny or devastating ending :D

My sincere thanks to Endgame, and all of you who enjoyed my little contribution and voted for me. The entries were all good and fun to read. I enjoyed them all. Perhaps the best part is that I don't have a Roadie in my assortment so this is going to be fun to get to experience something new, and just in time for Christmas!
