The 52100 Military interests me, as does the S90V Native5, but pre-ordering from KC has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I am thinking I'm probably in for both Militaries. As always, hope they are spaced out on the calendar to some degree (plus the previously discussed KW and BHQ exclusives). No Natives for me. My two Forum knives cover all of my needs in that model (I too prefer the FRN version). Although I am very curious to see what's in the 40th anniversary edition - it'll definitely be too rich for me to own, sadly. Well, I could possibly be talked into a serrated version (shout out to JD...)

And definitely want to know what some of these models I don't recognize are (Pattaya, Mantra).

Lil Lum. How does it compare size wise to, say, a DF2 / Delica / Cat? I think I'm in for that, but will depend on size and also when it becomes available.

Been saying this for years. My guess is that with a hanging knife out in the open like this, maybe having it hang tip up created too much risk of gravity/inertia opening the blade when you don't want it to open. I've had this happen many times with Ladybugs on my keys (until I wised up and just snugged down the pivot some).

Spyderco did that with a later model called the "Remote Release".

With the Snap-it I find it very easy to move my thumb from the clip to the spyder hole. With the Remote Release the process of unclipping and opening the knife didn't feel quite as natural so I never purchased one.

Just my opinion, but I feel like Canvas micarta would be a more fitting handle material for a steel like 52100. When I think CF I think Exotic Super Stainless steels, Micarta makes me think more tough carbon steels.

Cool. The Introvert is coming in 2016. That is the one I have been waiting for. :D

Of course, several of the others are tempting me as well. Hmmmm....

I think that is an error on their website. If you look at the part number it is LBORP3E. So, I'm thinking that is a Ladybug, not a Dragonfly. That would also make the pricing more logical. It can't really be a Dragonfly in a sprint/high-end HAP40 steel for only $42. Although, if one were to pre-order such a "Dragonfly" would they honor the price when the actual production run happens?

It is a sprint.

Carbon fiber and a patina on 52100 is going to look AWESOME!

You are correct, both is always the answer when it comes to Millies.

Well unless there is three Millies in the question I guess.
On my radar: 110V Military, Police 4 and some sweet Rex 45 Military action.

Newest Spydies: S90v Ti Military, Pacific Salt and a special Kiwi.

Lots of US made S110V with Blue FRN & Blue G-10 and Japanese made HAP40 Burnt Orange.

What's with the price of the anniversary Native!?

Native5 S90V CF was done last year so how's this fluted CF any different? Fluted like titanium one?

So is the HAP40 Stretch going to be the older Stretch, or newer Stretch 2? Must be FRN at that price.

...I will probably look to trade the CF scales for some Cruwear greys when the 52100 Millie arrives... or look for some customs in terotuf or micarta.

And looks like the Pie In The Sky will return in an anodized form for 2016.

Mantras are some of Eric's designs, I believe, with smallish <3" M4 blades. The Mantra has a Spyderhole, and the Mantra 2 is a Flipper with non functional Spyderhole. Both Ti RIL.
This was according to a report given by tvenuto after Amsterdam.
tvenuto wrote:Spyderco Folders Amsterdam 2015

Mantra and Mantra 2 flippers (2, again how could you not be?)
These are two EG designed flippers. The only difference between the two is the blade shape, one has the classic spyderco hump with functional opening hole for opening options. The other will have a non-functional hole and more streamlined blade shape and closed profile. I wrote that the blades seemed to be just under 3", but again I didn't measure, and the handles were full Ti RIL. The flipping action was nice and fast with both, and Eric indicated that he planned on using M4 (confetti and champagne fly). Now I'm not a fan of non-stainless blade steels, but these were two very interesting designs that have me intrigued. Another unique fact about both is that these designs, much like the Sage series benefits Alzheimer research, will benefit Parkinson's research, which is pretty admirable.

Introvert... that one sounds familiar like from one of Mr. Blondes Amsterdam photo shoots, but I cannot picture it in my head....? Was it the one with an index finger hole?
Anyone else remember?
Edit- yep, found it. https://spydercollector.wordpress.com/2 ... introvert/

Can anyone guess when any of these pre-orders would ship? Do they ship them all out at the beginning of the year? I'd hate to order a blue Native and be waiting until May or something. If they ship close to Jan 1, then I might be interested in a couple things on the list!
