Titaniam handled Delica

#1

Post by cmassicotte »

Howdy all - I was looking at Hamonoichiba's site and noticed that he lists a titaniam handled Delica. Can this be true?

Does anyone know what the blade steel might be on that one?

Tnanks for your input

Chuck ~ Its ATS-34, very nice piece indeed and rare too. It appears that Mr Hasegawa still has some in stock but the Titanium Police is sold out.

BTW he's also soon to be getting in another batch of G-10 Rookies in Plain edge...lovely jubbly.

Hmmmmmm...... Think I'll email Mr. Hasegawa & see if I can pick one of these babies up! <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

And.....

I'll be waiting with worm in mouth for the G-10 Rookie to arrive.

Thanks Al <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I'd like to have a Delica (and an Endura) with G-10 scales and dual stainless liners, in-place of FRN...That would be perfect.

Howdy Samo -- The price on his web site is 15,300 Yen or about $127.50 USD.

Here is a link to his web site:
http://www.hamonoichiba.com/

Well, not a link exactly <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> , you'll have to do a cut and paste

Do you think that the Spyderco ELUs would be interested in a short run of Titanium handled Delicas? We could plan a run after the Carbon Fiber Delicas.

I carry one as my normal rotation.

Maybe 500 pieces, some plain, some serrated, a few lefties for Glockman?

How about useing a mat finish CF like on the MT Lightfoot.I think this would be better for a EDC knife, shouldn't show scratches as much.

Yes please!, Is 500 pieces enough though? Would the blade be VG-10?.

Jeff's right, it's time the Endura got the CF or G-10 treatment.

Sal,

That sounds wonderful! I would be interested in buying one, assuming I could afford it.

I would be in for a CF or G-10 Endura - My preference being G-10.

Hmmm... or is it CF? Heck I don't know, I'll take what ever you throw at me.

Well, ok, not throw, definitely not throw! I mean that wouldn't be safe, would it? <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Sal,

Count this java in for a Ti Delica of any fine Spyderco flavor - tip up, down, left, right, in, out, SE, PE, or CE!!! I'd be in for CF or G-10 scales as well! If you build it.....Java will buy!

A a one or two liner CF or G-10 Endura would be excellent as well!!

Guys, guys, behave yourselves! Next thing you're gonna ask will be a compression lock at the Delica <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
I'll get any new Delica variation assuming I can afford it - which I don't <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>.

Yea to a Ti Delica and also yea to J Smith's suggestion of a matt finished CF.

I much prefer the matt finish of my CF WH Lancet to the 'wet look' finish on my CF Cricket.

Sal,

So the <font color=green><b><i>New!!</font></b></i> Ti Delica will have a compression lock, and flat grind S30V blade? Hmmmm.... I guess then it wouldn't be a Delica, Huh? <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
Ok, so how about just the flat grind S30V blade? Please, please?

Ok, enough beg/rant - Sal how would this Ti Delica differ from the one that Hamonoichiba lists?
