Warhammer 40000 is- basically- Lord Of The Rings on a cocktail of every drug known to man and genuine lunar dust, stuck in a blender with Alien, Mechwarrior, Dune, Starship Troopers, Fahrenheit 451 and Star Wars, bathed in blood, turned up to eleventy billion, set on fire, and catapulted off into space screaming "WAAAGH!" and waving a chainsaw sword- without the happy ending.

I hate to say it, but I fear for the future of the Friction Folder and Chubby. Sure, they are new enough that they'll probably ride for at least one year... but still. :(

+1 on what swigert said too.

Swigert's list pretty much mirrors my thoughts. I'd also bet the Equilibrium will get the cut as well.

For Spyderco to discontinue the Delica or Endura would be like Buck discontinuing the 110 folder. Ain't gonna happen :)

I hate to say this, and I hope I'm wrong, I think they'll discontinue the Roadie. Reasons? 1 Too unusual blade shape. 2 Not as practical as knives like the Native and Delica. 3 Limited customer base.

That being said, I am not disrespecting those who like the Roadie, if it serves your purposes, excellent. Just my two cents.

Regarding the Puukko, would this be discontinued because of the price and lack of sales due to not being sold enough, or some other reason?

Id like to hope the roadie is here to stay, at least for a few more years, still need to get one for myself haha! Also, could've sworn I saw talk about a larger model Roadie somewhere, but don't hold me to that.

As for discontinued models, I could see the Khalsa being one to go. Not saying this is why, but this one really reminds me of the Gunting.
As for another, I could see the Vallaton potentially being discontinued as well. I also can't help but think something random like the stainless steel Harpy might not make the cut for 2016. Obviously all just speculation, fun thread for sure!

As a new Spyderco fan, I have not yet developed a sense as to what models will likely be available for what amount of time. Of course, like any other business, it's ultimately market driven. Given that, blades with multitudes of users singing their praises should be more likely to stay, but I still get nervous while compiling my want list. Not to hijack, but any experienced Spydie users see any of these as candidates for DQing (next year or in the next 3-5 years even...?)

-Chaparral CF
-Yojimbo 2
-Roc
-Sage 1
-Saber ground Delica

The Yojimbo 2 is here to stay. I would also think the CF Chap and Sage 1 are safe, as they are just plain phenomenal knives. The Roc is barely out, so that one is safe for at least a year, but I could see that one not being the hottest seller. Quirky collabs are often cut.
