Oh man, I was about all set to pull the trigger an a serrated PM2 and had no clue the Shaman had a serrated option. Choices, choices. I'm a big fan of the Manix 2, this looks nearly perfect.

Sussed. Took about five minutes. Action felt like it was randomly binding and very gritty. Took it apart, appears the indexed side of the pivot bushing (same basic set up as the PM2/Para 3) may not have been quite square or slightly prouder than it should be in the liner, so I re-seated it, drew it down with that side's pivot screw, added a few strategically placed drops of reel oil, and reassembled.

Voila. Centered blade, silky smooth and rockets open and closed. Feels like a PM2 that's been juicing and lifting heavy. :D

Great photos, thanks. Looks like a less blocky grip than the Manix 2.

I’m a little unsure about the compression lock. I have long (for a guy) fingernails on my right hand for guitar playing. This can make some flippers just slightly awkward to deploy. If you didn’t flip your nails for a week or two would the compression lock be awkward to close?

Got mine in. All my native 5’s will need to go. All the sprints and forum knives, everything. This will be one that gets major pocket time. I’ve always thought the native 5 was a little small for me.

No problem. Sometimes just need to slightly alter the angle of attack (in the CG/FSG sense!). But it feels intuitive, with a little experience--no conscious effort needed. (and the thumbnail is especially helpful with the new D'Allara and Q-ball).

CANNOT wait for this in Maxamet. It's like the PM2's cousin who lifts.

I was cautiously interested in this knife until I saw that it is the exact same weight as the Gayle Bradley 1 (147 g). I ultimatley sold my GB1 largely due to weight. However, this is clearly a well-executed design that will thrill a lot of folks (as did the GB1).

Just grabbed the SE model...this is one of the better new models I have held in quite sometime.

According to the user phampet that came with the Shaman there will be DLC versions available as well. I’m sure they will look really cool but the stonewash is really nice to look at and hides scratches better.

Just received my Shaman this week. I was actually surprised at the size and heft of this knife, even though I was well aware of the specs. My initial impressions - big, bold, a real user. This is a knife that you can use for some serious work. It's built like a tank.

Just got mine. Action feels a bit poor but it feels great in the hand. Feels like a knife you can throw around.

Anybody having contact with the backspacer and tip of the knife?
