S30V is an excellent base steel for the largest amount of users. Other variations well be possible once the model is out and feedback is coming in.

Fantastic looking knife! What is the handle thickness? The g10 scales give it depth and make it look thick(which in hoping is true? Thicker than the pm2? I'm in lock with the thicker back lock Manix 2.

They sure do. I've made up my mind this is the only other knife from spyderco I'll be getting.....if the price is right. Hoping it's at or under the new Manix 2 back lock pricing.
That would be great, but I'm expecting it to be more because of the skeletonized liners and the extra work to recess them and contour the handle.
In the price guide it's listed at $249.95 MSRP so with MAP it should retail at $150.

I would pay even more. But this is comfortable price. I am in. Cannot wait for sprints.

That's a bit steep for S30V, but I'd still buy one, anyway.

Possibly this is steep for S30V, but not steep for contoured G10.

Another sweet design and the price isn't ridiculous. I'm in.

Frankly I would rather pay for countered G10 than for flat CF. For me it is better ergos, also looks better.

I'm (just barely) seeing Sal's maker's mark here. Is this a Sal-only knife, or did Eric have a hand in it too? Regardless, can't wait to handle one.

The price seems very reasonable compared to, say, the lightweight Maxamet knives and recent offerings from Japan such as the Q-Ball, Ouroboros, and D'Allara 3. I'm also wondering about the thickness, but that's not going to be a problem for me either way, in fact I would welcome a thicker handle, especially a contoured one.

Also the weight, if as stated, is similar to that of the Manix2 without skeletonized liners, which is also fine with me -- I started out liking the heaviness of the basic Manix2, then decided I liked the lighter skeletonized sprints better, now am forced to admit that I like both :p --you guessed it, the heavy ones because they're heavy and the light ones because they're light. I like the feel of the balance of the heavier handles, the balance point being moved back, maybe, to the first and middle fingers instead of just the first finger behind the choil. (My brother used to say I couldn't possibly order a hamburger and a barbecue -- I had to like one better than the other  this discussion is making me hungry.)
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod
Note to self: Less is more.

That's understandable. From what I can tell the handle looks quite amazing.
