To use or not to use?
I finally acquired a NIB foliage green g10 endura.
I have been after one for quite a while, and finally got one. Now I'm hesitant to actually use it.
I don't know why I am. I have used every spydie I've ever gotten. Maybe because this one was so hard for me to get and is not replaceable.
I know I'll end up with it in my pocket soon, but this one is bothering me.
Would you use it or put it in the collectors case?

Re: To use or not to use?
I would use it for a couple reasons.
1.) It's a very tough knife for everything except probably prying due to the flat grind.
2.) Any FFG or even saber grind E4 blade *should* bolt into place. Not that I recommend FrankenSpydering knives but that's a bit more reassurance compared to say a Persian2.

Re: To use or not to use?
Id say go for it. Im always hesitant when i first get a new blade. I just love the looks of an unused blade. and yet I also love a well used one. The handle is more valuable than the blade IMO. since i believe, like Blerv said, you can just pop a new FFG in there if something happens to the blade. Perhaps just make it a light user if you're wanting to keep it nice looking.

Re: To use or not to use?
your right about the illness I do seem to be coming down with something. And I had not thought about how easy it would be do a blade swap with another E4.
It's probably gonna be in my pocket tomorrow.

I'm a *cough* collector... But I'd say use her and enjoy it!

Re: To use or not to use?
I lightly used the one I had a few years ago. Just don't be a dummy like I was and sell or trade it
Re: To use or not to use?
Use it! I am a collector I guess, but I definitely get more enjoyment from actually using a knife I love than letting it sit idle while I use something else.
Bacon. Sometimes beer, but mostly bacon. I like Spydercos.

Can't take it with you when you die. Use it.
Re: To use or not to use?
I discovered that I can't feel good about using a collectible, thinking I am depriving a collector of having it. I am happier to use a model that is less rare.
Of course if a person can afford to buy the knife and they want to use it, go ahead.
