Hap-40 Dragonfly

#1

Post by griff443 »

Does anyone know if there will be more Seki models in burnt orange using Hap-40? I would like to try the steel out but would strongly prefer it in a Dragonfly instead of the Endura and Delica.

I think it was said that they will do the whole Seki line similar to the Super Blue runs, but not the Caly runs.

If you look through the thread I started on the HAP40 Delica and Endura, somewhere in there I quoted Sal as saying the plans are for the entire line, D, E, DF, and MB to be done in HAP40 and burnt orange.

I have searched, but can't find the *original* post only later re-quotes, IIRC it might have been quoted here from "some other forum"... The gist was that Sal indicated that the entire Japanese made FRN lineup would be done in HAP40 (which hopefully includes the Ladybug and Stretch as well as the others mentioned above), but without that original citation I'd hesitate to bank on it.

If it comes to pass I'll certainly be getting a Dragonfly and a Manbug at the minimum!

I remember Sal saying that they wanted to make them all. I am sure it all depends on the sales of the first two. They released the Super Blue Endura and Delica first and then after a while the rest followed. I believe this will go the same way and we will see the Delicas and Enduras first and once they start drying up the others will start rolling in one by one. I'm dying for a Delica and a Stretch!

You and me both, brother. :) A HAP40 Manbug sounds really good right about now.

Here's the quote you guys are likely remembering:

If that is so I hope they don't fix it with the other models.
On my radar: 110V Military, Police 4 and some sweet Rex 45 Military action.

Newest Spydies: S90v Ti Military, Pacific Salt and a special Kiwi.

they're still only listed as preorder on the KC web site, I haven't seen any others offering preorder, or even many putting up a placeholder listing for the D'fly HAP yet, so I'd bet we're still weeks or maybe even months away from them dropping :(

The G10 and ZDP versions are readily available if you want a "special" one to gift, but the plain old FRN versions is awesome too... I certainly wouldn't turn down a black VG10 Dragonfly as a gift!
