I've never seen that announcement.

I'd find it hard to believe a low volume dealer would be forced the commitment of a 1,200 piece run. I figure if they pay for the whole thing, they should be able to choose how many are made.

Then you need to go read and believe. The ad, straight from CS's site:

"This limited edition of 1,200 pieces is made in Golden, Colorado U.S.A exclusively for Cutlery Shoppe customers."

It's funny. I just got off the phone with Jeff and asked him if he thinks the server will handle the traffic. He said, "Oh yeah, unless we're way underestimating the response." Well, guess what. Lol.
