That's why God made clothesline, Brother. :p Who needs a dryer when you've got S110V to play with? :D :DThe Mastiff wrote:This is an impressive knife and one that a lot of people here have wanted since PM2's and S110V came into the world. It sure seems a natural pairing and one destined for all time lists. Congratulations to all those who are fortunate enough to get to own and carry one. In practical terms knives don't really get better than this.
I hope they are around for a long time. My luck holds. My dryer died yesterday so that comes before any knives no matter how wonderful they may be. :)

Wow, what a sweet looking knife.RadioactiveSpyder wrote:Nice scales! It's a lot cleaner if you take the scales off and just dye those by themselves. Otherwise you have dye residue all over the metal parts which requires a lot of cleaning. If you're a bit OCD like me, having dirty liners is not my style!
Half black and half dark green RIT dye, the company calls that mix "titanium" coincidentally enough!
On my radar: 110V Military, Police 4 and some sweet Rex 45 Military action.

Re: S110V Paramilitary 2 has dropped!!!
Here is NGK's pic of the S110V PM2, courtesy of NGK of course.
If the scales are translucent, light would specifically be shining more brightly through the only open/milled section of the SS liner on the presentation (non-clip) side - a small, mostly rectangular area between the rearmost scale screw and the lanyard hole (by the 3 clip screw holes). The rest of the liner on that side is essentially one piece save for the thin line for the lockbar cutout... If anything, that rear section of the knife in NGK's pic is darker. The bright corners/sides of the scales are just very well lit.
I don't know, maybe it's the physicist in me that's having issue with this potential translucency. :o  :)

Re: S110V Paramilitary 2 has dropped!!!
When I first saw it, it looked like a purple, but now that I look at it again, it does look like translucent dark blue.
Either way, it looks nice.

Now the Howes pics look like they're a bit translucent. :p
I agree with LC that the dye jobs look a bit uneven from knife to knife. Hate to say it, but I'm not loving what I see but I'll decide better on either Saturday or Monday at the latest (I already have a tracking number, yay!)
