I like that Larry! I'm willing to bet that the pouch is more rare than the tool, especially a like new one!
Surprisingly, Spyderco had a large bin full and sold them for $1 at a seconds sale a couple years back. Can't recall if they still had any this past November though. :spyder:

That is surprising! I would have thought them to be long gone.

The wrench is LNIB and the pouch came in a sealed plastic bag :)

I used my spyderwrench to remove my old fume hood a few days ago and it was very handy. I could have run down to the basement to grab the real tools, but the spyderwrench did the job surprisingly well.

Man, I’d still really like to see this model go into production again. Would be so cool!

A bit of a thread resurrection.. Just curious as to which version of the Spyderench is considered most rare/sought after?
I have been told both the O.G. US made PE one and the Taiwan made one.

What, that the US made PE is rarest/most sought after or the Taiwan made, or you too have heard both versions? :)

The US made version. I'm glad you bumped this thread Larry! I had someone express an interest in a trade or sale of one not long ago. I haven't heard anything back. I'm still trying to learn more about them.

I got an aftermarket nylon belt pouch that is a perfect fit for my Spyderench. The SPYDERENCH is such a great companion tool for one of the conventional Plier Type Multi-tools. The SPYDERENCH really fills a void in several ways.

I think that the cost of the unit along with the fact that it is so different than most other Multi-tools on the market. But I'm thinking a Sprint Run ( preferably a deluxe version) would be a big hit.

I'd love to have one of any version JD! I think you're right in that it's a completely different kind of tool that makes it so fascinating to me. The Spyderco heritage doesn't hurt either!

Just remember the original GOLDEN made SPYDERENCH had 440C blade steel on the knife blades. I think that most of the ones made overseas had AUS-8 blade steel. It's really getting tough to find the units made with 440C blade steel.

I've had a couple of the units made overseas and they aren't bad. But I've always been a big fan of all of the Spyderco products made in GOLDEN, CO USA Earth. Yeah a Sprint Run of the Spyderench is starting to sound really good.

Bump! Anything new in the Spyderench World? For awhile they were popping up on eBay, but nothing lately.

Yeah, I would love to see a spyderench sprint run too. High hopes, I know. I’m still trying to get my hands on one. I’ll be keeping my eye on eBay for now.
