Hi Larry,

We did make a pouch for a while. Black Cordura with a snap on the flap and a red bug embroidered on the front.

sal
Thanks, good to know!
Again, to my knowledge there was no pouch for my wrench. Was the pouch included or an optional accessory? Was it early in production or it came along during production?

It was an option when we made it.

Man, nothing would make me happier than to see a re-issue of the Golden-made Spyderwrench.

Have a few I bought when they were clearing them out cause no one wanted them, funny to see how times have changed.

Given the direction this thread has run I wish that you would put a couple up for sell somewhere.

Thanks! I've wanted one for a long while (and have regretted not buying when originally available, and pretty much every one I've seen come up for sale since).

The pouch is nice, but bulky, so I'm carrying mine in the Mininch canvas pouch and hoping it won't get too worn rubbing against the other tools (I may add a cloth to wrap things up in).

I agree that if the tooling is still available this seems an excellent thing to do a Kickstarter-funded run of, esp. if there could be some improvements made (as noted, a redesign which would allow functional pliers to be separated from the wrench would be huge).

I have one.

When I get time I will strip it and I will glass bead blast the handle, which if my memory serves me correctly, was cast from 17-4 PH steel.
The screwdriver bits I will KG Gunkote in Flat Grey.
The clip and PE blade will stay as is.
The Mini Flat and Philips screwdriver shaft with diamond grit will also remain as is.

Then, a Kydex sheath.

I'm Mike and I'm a Spyderwrench-oholic. I have one each original Spyderco and Byrd models. They have been banged around enough with use and the tools box the patina is much better than original.

Hi WillAdams,

Welcome to our forum.

What you are requesting is an entirely new design with new tooling. I question the cost/results?

A re-design wouldn’t be necessary, IMO. I imagine it would be easier and less costly to just re-make the original design, providing the tooling still exists. I’d personally really like to see the Golden-made design again. I would buy one in a heartbeat for sure.

Of the versions made, that would definitely be the one I'd love to buy most.

I think that the easiest versions to re-produce would be the Taiwan version or the Chinese version. Golden is pretty busy.
