Do You Like the Color of the 2015 Forum Knife?
I ordered the 2015 Forum knife; the earth tone brown is fine by me. However - many of the folks I talked to do not like the color. What say all you? [EDIT] ok - it's maroon. But it looks brown to me.
Re: Do You Like the Color of the 2015 Forum Knife?
I am disappointed with the color but I don't dislike it. I was looking forward to having a knife with a burgundy handle but I would not call the color on the forum knife burgundy or maroon. It is a strange shade of brown more like milk chocolate.

I was sure it was brown until I read that it was maroon and saw a couple good pics in good lighting. I passed on this one but it's an ok color. Variety is nice. That said I would rather have either color if it were closer to being obviously that color....as in a brown that's lighter or a dark khaki or a more red maroon.

I really like it. Maroon, Burgundy, Brown, whatever--it's all fine by me. I may actually get another one just to have a "user" model. (A la Roman style )

While it does have some brown in it, I think the maroon aspect is fairly obvious. I would have preferred a burgundy like the Calypso Jr, but still like the maroon we got.

To my eyes at least, it's definitely maroon. Which, according to Wikipedia is: "a dark brownish red which takes its name from the French word marron, or chestnut. I like it, especially in natural light. Would be even happier to have a VG-10 FRN Stretch in it.

Quite satisfied with the color, did darken the clip some with a gas flame so it fits a bit better with the maroon and stands out less on my pants.
(had already done the same on my regular Native 5 lw before)

I enjoy having yet another color in the collection--so yes, I like the maroon.
The color really depends on the lighting, IMO. Examples:
fairly red in this one, closer to the burgundy in Kyle's Caly Jr:
browner in this one:
in between brown and red here, a pretty nice maroon

I like it. It's unique and relatively subdued.

I like it a lot, and I think we should consider ourselves fortunate to even have a forum knife!

Not a fan of the color, but I didn't get one because I don't really like the Natives anymore.
