10th Wedding Anniversary gift from the wife
So, Mrs Lopez- my better half and 'thinking brain wife' (in the manner that some people need a 'seeing eye dog', if you catch my drift!) asked me what I would like for our 10th Wedding Anniversary.
I mentioned that I'd probably never find a Tuff....Predictably, I bought her something made of gold and diamonds.
She- via some amazing skills and persuasion- managed to get a new Tuff back through Golden for them to engrave it up with her message to me (Mr Pez is her little pet name for me) then get it shipped to our home in Wolverhampton, England...I am absolutely chuffed to bits about this- and I will be claiming "My wife put the last Tuff through Golden especially for me" (Whether it's true or not I don't mind, as that's the story I'm telling )
What a year- I had dinner with Sal and Eric in Amsterdam, took wifeykins to the Waldorf for the date of our 10th and now she''s spoiled me with this keepsake.....Priceless. :)
Pictorial evidence of just how excited and pleased this made me....Like a child!
What a clean job- and I think she might be a keeper (the wife, I mean!) :D
10 years, 3 jobs, 2 homes, 1 major brain surgery- but through thick and thin one special lady has stuck by my (And there's been a shed-load more thin than thick too!) :)
I'm one very lucky man

Congrats!demoncase wrote:.....but I know with a cast iron certainty that UK Customs will falsely impound it* and that'll be that
Enjoy you lucky fellas that get one.
*UK HMRC is currently 'doing a NYC' and anything which can be opened with even 5 heavy wrist flicks they are counting as a 'gravity knife'- impounding it, then destroying it.....Even when the knife in question patently isn't a gravity knife and is already available in the UK....Sad but unless you've got probably £5k+ to fight it in magistrates court you won't be getting your knife back.
This story then proves without a doubt that the Tuff is not a gravity knife! :)
I'm sure not even Chuck Norris would be able to wrist-flick a NIB Tuff... :D

Wonderful story, DC! Made my eyes a bit misty too. A loving spouse is a beautiful thing indeed. :)

Thank you all-
Mrs Lopez would like to thank Rachel at Spyderco who put her in touch with the UK importer and bent over backwards to make things happen.
Another testament to the kind of customer service we know and love.

With all the nonsense in the news we get bombarded with each day, it's really great to hear of things that bring a smile. Congratulations to you and your wife. You both are truly Blessed. Enjoy the knife and tell the wife...... thanks for helping to make our day a bit brighter. Be well.

I've stopped watching the news. They never report on upcoming sprint runs or exclusives.

I bet the 1st job that Tuff was employed in was cutting open the blisterpack of that Sharpmaker in the background....
Am I correct?
