Grasshopper SS Question

What steel is used in the Grasshopper? its listed as 3cr on the spyderco.com, but i bought it from another place that had it advertised as 8cr13mov. is there a way to tell the difference?

From the edge retention on mine, I'd guess the 8Cr13MoV was a typo/misunderstanding.
