It looks really good.

I shaved the tip of the spine on my older satin finish one to closely resemble an older Endura, I plan on doing the same with this black bladed one. It may look a little weird probably but I insist on getting rid of that tip hump!

I had thought about doing the same thing with the all black, but cannot think of a way to do so and restore the finish.

Roger,

You declaring it the official knife of summer 2015 is what put it on my radar! We have a beach trip coming up and my LBHB is my only H1. Figured be nice to have a proper blade on the beach as well. That and the Gringo made me do it! If I had a yellow handle to frankenspydie...

Making it my 2015 Summer knife is the goal :D I sure like the look of it, and I've been reacquainting myself with the SpyderEdge this past year or so.

Oh good! I thought I was one of only a few who were interested in the SE Pac. ;) Howe's has 'em in now. I see that I'll have to add it to my short list of "must-haves." :D

If I get the balls to alter the tip I will do it with no regard to how the finish looks afterward. Salts are users anyway! I just fear screwing up the shape of the tip and making my Pac Salt an Atlantic Salt

Here's mine. Great knife for those dirty jobs when I don't want to whip out one of my safe queens haha. I carry this one when I ride my mountain bike (just hose the mud off afterwards) and also when tree climbing (hence the neon green lanyard).

This is what always put me off buying the black model. I might try it next time I drop one in the ocean. It's been over a year since I've fed one to the fishes so I'm probably about due.

Roger, I've taken the liberty to correct a bit your statement above :)
Same sentiments here, I've been carrying my SE Pac Salt non-stop starting Mar '15

Murdered out is knife slang for all black, including handle, blade, clip, scales, and hardware

I doubt Spyderco will market the new Black blade Salts as murdered out. Or any model as such. Just some knife slang the cool kids say, surprised you have never heard it before. I bet if you search here "murdered out" I am not the first person I am sure to use the phrase.
