Where is The bread truck ?

#1

Post by JoeKansas »

I just got the February Spyderco Byte and it mentions the bread truck that the Glessers started out with. It just occurred to me, what ever became of the bread truck? Thanks in advance for the answer. Joe

If I recall correctly, it sold for around $68,000 at a private auction back in '03.

(Just kidding. I'm not sure where it is. :p I'll bet Sal knows though)

Probably parked behind the SFO.

Actually, it's probably long gone to bread truck heaven. ;)

It is probably in the great parking lot in the sky by now. That was the 70's.

It's probably cruising along where the roads never have potholes and the bread is always fresh and your tires never wear out.... :'( sniff

I've still got my 1971 Volkswagen Camper. I wonder if they still have that little yellow Beetle pictured in tow behind the bread van.

I too doubt the truck is still around, but I'd love to hear any stories Sal has about it.
