Spyderco Endeavor

#1

Post by David from NC »

I might be dreaming :o but I seen this mentioned in a thread on another forum.

Thoughts on the rumored Spyderco Endeavor??? I did a search and didn't see a recent topic on it. Has it been discussed here much?

I believe you're referring to the "NASA Bushcraft" with S90V steel and an FFG. Sal stated that the proto will be photographed by Wouter at the Amsterdam meet in March.

Essentially Chris Claycomb's Bushcraft handle (but in solid Carbon Fiber) and a full flat utility shaped blade (designed by Chris) in CPM-S90V. Not made for Bushcrafting, but for general utility, but with a Bushcraft handle that can be used all day every day without any "hot spots" developing.

This sounds like a very nice knife :D

Are you going with a leather or boltaron sheath?

Now I have yet another reason for wanting March to be here sooner :D
A tiger has claws.
A wolf has teeth.
An eagle has talons.
We, have Spyderco.

The thinking at this time is Boltaron.

I've seen some of Chris's work on other forums and from what I'm reading about this project it sounds like a home run from Spyderco :D
