Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
it’s a copper backspacer i ordered from a guy (dnt3 custom works) that i found on instagram. he makes custom scales too. everything looks pretty cool and the prices aren’t bad. anyway, this adds to the functionality (and mean looks) of the yo2 because it gives slightly increased grip and a more extended and defined impact point. you know... for breaking windows in an emergency.

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
I know. Hahaha! I really almost called it last week but there were only like 3 pics. Totally ready to pass it on! Love this thread but it's almost more fun to participate than to judge!

Well here we go people! First off I'd like to thank everyone who posted! There are some great photos here, and it wasn't easy to choose.
RUNNER UP: PiterM
Very clear and classy shot of the dual chef's. Really nice!
This photo of the not-so-often seen Magnitute is very well done. Super cool!
Well, congrats to both of you and thank you to all who submitted! So glad the monkey is off my back lol! :p

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Congrats to the winners. I read alot of complaints about thos thread being slow to get to the point. It's going to go even slower when you pick a winner who only has 5 over all posts on the forum.
Food for thought.

I appreciate your thoughts/concerns but the reason behind the pace of the thread is lack of involvement, not picking a low post winner. If more people would POST just like the winner did, it would most likely be a one-week thing like it was designed to be. I'll never pick a winner based on how many posts they have, as I am also relatively new to this forum and I was given a shot in this thread with less than 50 overall posts.
If I'm wrong and shut73r doesnt come back well that's my bad, and TBH I never even looked at how many times this person had posted. I just wanna enjoy the thread. :spyder:

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
I dont want to come off rude & all but I think you missed my point.. his posts are probably still needing to be reviewed by a moderator. Thus taking time. I never even slightly said you should pick a winner based on post count or join date, rather stop complaining about how slow it's taking. If only one person posts a photo the week of, they win by default.
That would keep it moving along I think? Would also get the monkey off your back.
Either way, congratulations again and hopefully we see more participants this week.

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Okay, apologies, I can see what you mean with the moderator stuff, though that isnt what you said, i didn't even consider that. but who wants to win and get the opportunity to judge just to have someone win by default? And who would want to win without competition?
When I was "complaining" I was simply light heartedly encouraging other members to join in the fun. I was excited to have the opportunity to judge, so I bumped the thread a few times. I didn't think I would have someone upset with me for it.

I'm not as good of a photographer as some here, but I am proud of how this one came out :D
