Wow, that looks like a big list! Some of the items on it make me a bit sad. Oh well...I'm sure we can expect new and wonderful designs to replace the ones that are falling by the wayside.

I predict the Sage 4 will have huge collector value in a few years from people trying to put the set together. Maybe it's getting discontinued with the intention of rereleasing it with different wood or something

No mistake. See the thread: Official 2014 Discontinued List

It's not on last year's discontinued list from November 2013: 2014 Spyderco Discontinued Product List - Official

The Spyderco 2014 Catalogs were available for PDF download on November 20, 2013. We're more than a couple of weeks past that already this year for the Spyderco 2015 Catalogs.

Spyderco's website has this undated message (release within 2-4 weeks of when):
Catalogs are sent via USPS mail at no charge. We are currently preparing for the release of our 2015 Catalogs. All catalog requests will be held for the release of the 2015 catalogs within the next 2-4 weeks. Once released please allow an additional 2-4 weeks for delivery.
