Tusk and salt knife fish pics.
Just thought I'd post a few shots of the Tusk and pacific salt out on the kayak. Fishing hasn't been anything special lately but me, the girl and the spydies are staying fed.

Haha, thanks...I think. :D. I picked up a go pro recently so now I'm not trying to take selfies holding a fish and a knife in one hand and my phone in the other.WireEdge Roger wrote:Very nice! Those are a little more artsy than your usual fishing pics :D

That does sound like a recipe for disaster...especially given what phones are worth these days.Surfingringo wrote:

Keep 'em coming Lance. I love fishing and always enjoy your pics.
Re: Tusk and salt knife fish pics.
Awesome pics! love your ability to plan a great shot, even more impressed with your fishing.
Re: Tusk and salt knife fish pics.
Very nice! Unfortunately my work blocks photobucket images so I had to load the thread on my cell phone to see them -- well worth the extra effort :) !
No such thing as a bad day on the water fishing.

Really excellent pics Lance, you've outdone yourself this time in their artistic flair. I especially like the water droplets coming out of the fishes mouth in the third pic. Those are magazine quality! Cheers, Radioactive :)

Super cool pics! I really like the first one with the Tusk. That's gotta go in next year's calendar! Just curious, what is that second to last fish, where you have your Pacific in your mouth?

Jack Crevalle. Pretty poor table fare but very strong fighters.PayneTrain wrote:Super cool pics! I really like the first one with the Tusk. That's gotta go in next year's calendar! Just curious, what is that second to last fish, where you have your Pacific in your mouth?

Those look great! :) I agree with everyone else, it's definitely calendar worthy! Have you had a chance to use the spike yet?

Not for its intended purpose but I have done some light prying with it. Makes a good paint can opener. :)MattM68 wrote:Those look great! :) I agree with everyone else, it's definitely calendar worthy! Have you had a chance to use the spike yet?

Awww, c'mon, I was picturing you like Chief Brody working on your bowlines!
Re: Tusk and salt knife fish pics.
I've never really been interested in the Tusk, but after reading your posts about it I'm starting to like it. What exactly is the intended use of the spike? I could use a nice paint can opener.Surfingringo wrote:Not for its intended purpose but I have done some light prying with it. Rope work. Opening and splicing. Untying wet or tight knots. One of its main duties with rope is as a lever so using it as an impromptu prybar is within its job description. Between the thick rust proof blade blade, the marlinspike and the full ti build, this little knife is a legitimate hard use folder IMO! Get you some!MattM68 wrote:I've never really been interested in the Tusk, but after reading your posts about it I'm starting to like it. What exactly is the intended use of the spike? Interesting and little known fact....the fish is named after the tool, not vice-versa.
