Re: Just got a call back about my broken clip
I called customer service on Monday morning (left a voicemail) and again today (transferred out after no answer and spoke to someone in the factory store who was going to relay my problem to customer support.
Still waiting .................

Still no response. Wow, I'm starting to wonder why I've bought all of these knives ...

Try calling them again. Be nice. I've never not been able to solve a clip problem when I call the SFO. $4 and a credit card is like a magic wand...Molle Ninja wrote:Still no response. Wow, I'm starting to wonder why I've bought all of these knives ...

Dear Molle Ninja:
Could you please explain exactly what your problem is? Broken clips are generally not a warranty issue, but replacements are readily and inexpensively available through SFO.
Please provide more details and we'd be happy to guide you in the right direction.
Stay safe,
Mike

Re: Just got a call back about my broken clip
Sure, I received a Dice flipper on Monday. Despite being a flipper, the knife wouldn't flip. The pivot seemed to be the issue (holding the lock bar over to remove the detent pressure still wouldn't allow the blade much movement).
Anyhow, I used a Torx bit as I've done a million times to attempt to back it off a little, and whoever assembled the knife must've put a pint of thread locker in there--locked tight. Anyway, the end result is that the pivot Torx (scale side) is now deformed. The knife finally flips, though.
I probably should've heated the pivot, but hindsight's wonderful.
I'd really like a new pivot screw or its specs so I can find a new one on my own. I'm not asking them to give me a free one, but considering I've bought thousands of dollars worth of knives from them, that'd be nice.
Still nothing despite my calls and messages all week. I might be done buying Spydercos. Too bad I have one being delivered today. Really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Okay, maybe a bit dramatic, but it is annoying.

Dear Molle Ninja:
Thank you very much for your explanation. It helps a lot--especially since the subject of this thread relates to a broken knife clip and makes no reference to pivot-pin screws.
Please see my PM for further information about addressing your problem.
Stay safe,
Mike

This thread was not even started by Molle and has nothing to do with whatever their issue is. Poor form to overrun someone else's thread with a completely unrelated customer service issue.
