My knife buying is so out of control, went ahead and pulled the trigger on this one too, I swear I have absolutely no self control when it comes to spydies, but but this one just looks so awesome, oh wait that's what I said about the YO2 cf and the cf native and the cruwear manix and and and.

I am doing my best to resist this one for now. It sure is hard with all that sweet titanium and the specs. 3.5 blade and around 4oz weigh makes for a excellent EDC blade.

It is really a shame that I am so jaded by steel now that I was like dang only CTS-XHP. Course CTS-XHP is awesome, better then anything I own atm and overkill for any task I do with a knife by far.
On my radar: 110V Military, Police 4 and some sweet Rex 45 Military action.

Newest Spydies: S90v Ti Military, Pacific Salt and a special Kiwi.

Awesome! I'm still surprised that two such similar knives were released together.

I just made the same comment to my wife this morning. :) The K2 is much bigger than the Bowie, though.

When I handled them both on the meet I didn't realise that they where so similar, but I remember falling in love with the Bowie right aways and not so with the K2. In hand both felt completely different.

4.3 oz. with a 3.4" blade, vs. 6.2 oz. with a 4.5" blade. That seems completely different to me.

Similar in many respects, but an interesting MSRP difference that I don't understand given the materials. If it were sports I'd say Marcin has a better agent.

Either way, kudos to Spyderco and both designers.

I can't look at these two knives and not think about the Millie and Para 2.

The Bowie looks plenty big for me -- by comparison, the K2 looks just HUGE!

Really want that slysz; not sure if it is the angle of the photo, but in the comparison picture the handles look close to the same size. If this is the case I have to commend the K2 for fitting such a huge blade in this handle and I also wonder if they could have shaved a little off the slysz handle and still had a full grip?

Correction...I NEED that slysz! I am moving this weekend and the S110v manix has been ripping through some cardboard in the meantime, but it sure would be nice to be putting that beauty through the paces.

I'd guess it's the angle of the photo making the Slysz look bigger than it is. But it's hard to tell without actually holding them.

Lust. And although my wife does really like the CF Yo2, that purchase came hot on the heels of receiving my calendar winnings. I'll have to live vicariously through you all for at least 3 months. So, keep those pics coming!

Also, I didn't see this asked anywhere, but does the blade have horizontal "grind lines" in that pic or was it just recently wiped with something? My main point is does the blade have a "hand rubbed" finish? I would have to think someone would have mentioned this before now if it did.

I'm fairly certain those are just wipe down marks.

$500 MSRP worth of impressed? That's a high bar anyway you cut (hah) it.

I'm really hoping the in person feel and action makes the price point obvious. Honestly, I'll be kinda bummed out if it doesn't feel pretty special. My hopes are high on this one. Appreciate any thoughts you can provide.
