After not even a week with a delica
I am thoroughly impressed and want more. Coming From only buying g10 knives the frn is nicer than I expected.
The delica is
much more solid than I expected
Has solid lock up
Not tiny
Easy to Cary
Looks cool
Fits into my big hands well
So anyone looking for a smaller knife to EDC this is my recommendation to buy one and try it.
I def want more

After having lost a very nice knife (ZT 0770cf) during the course of regular work activities last week (my work involves a lot of scrambling around cliff faces and underbrush), I've put a VG-10 Delica (in bright orange) in my pocket this week. It's a great knife. Talk about all function and no bling. It's fantastic.
An orange delica was my first spyderco knife also. I have since also purchased the para 2 which I love but I agree with you about the delica the thin blade is a great cutter. The handle is really perfect for my hand. It is light weight but with the liners it is not light duty. I wouldn't spine wack it but I wouldn't do that with any folder.
The only negative to me is the lock. Not for any reason other than the para 2 is so much fun to flick.

In my personal experience I have often been enamored with a new knife very strongly in the first few weeks, thinking it could be "the one" only to go back to another model after more carry time... So I'm not sure I'd trust just my own first week instincts. Of course, ymmv.
Then again, the Delica is one that stuck around.

I too own an orange delica. It's a nice knife but I got it later in my spyderco collecting. It doesn't see a lot of pocket time. I find I enjoy the manix 2, centofante 3 and if I want bigger a goddard. The centofante is in the same size range but fits and feels better to me. I will admit the delica is a mean slicer tho!
