Micrographs, or it didn't happen!!

Hehehehe. Kidding, nicely thought out and written as I've come to expect from your posts Paul.

It's in the catalog, but we don't have a date yet. The prototype get's a lot of pocket time. We're making it just as Deacon showed it. Once it's out for a while, we can discuss variations. I know some had expressed preferring a different handle material or blade material.

I hope a variation of the Stretch stays cataloged with the SS liners and G10, CF or other scale material instead of this being a one and done sprint. A sprint version of this knife with a polished carbon fiber bolster and polished orange G10 would look exceptional.

A premium Stretch in the catalog to complement the FRN iterations would be awesome. I'd like to see laminated SuperBlue, but instead of the plain 420J1, or the etched DPS 15 like on the current damascus models, I'd like to see a more subtle damascus pattern like on the Seto Kitchen knives...and with polished and slightly radiused blue/black carbon fiber handles. If that existed I'd have to do everything one handed forever because I'd probably never put it down.

I wouldn't mind seeing a new steel for the G10 model, mostly because I already have a ZDP Stretch. If that is in the cards, I'd happily wait in the interest of adding a little variety to my collection. I'm still working on my patina.

Bump!

Thanks, Deacon, for linking me here. Good read.

I am anxious to try one out, but as a lover of everything about the current rendition of Stretch, I'm a bit skeptical about the fresh one. We shall see once it is in hand! :)

Supposedly it's in the mail. I know, I know, pics or it didn't happen. I must have got in on an early batch??? blade hq had them and now they're out... Might be an indicator to buy when you can, seems like they went fast.

Just got it today! First impressions is that it's super light for being g10 and steel lined! Probably the sharpest Spyderco I have ever received from factory too! This Stretch is going to see a lot of pocket time. Here are some pictures that I just snapped from my phone...

Nice. Thanks, Tabo. Do you have small hands? Looks like lots of room on that handle. It's what I'm hoping for.
