If you're right handed, looking for a knife with a 3" wharncliffe blade that's "all edge", and feel comfortable with one that affords your fingers no protection from that edge, the Des Horn is an elegant looking alternative to the Kiwi 4.

I really like the Des Horn, at least partially because it looks/feels so unique. I've seen them on clearance, and have grabbed a pre-need replacement for myself. It's a great little "non-tactical" folder.

Someday I'd love to see one as a sprint run with some kind of "gentleman's" handle material. An african hardwood or animal horn would be an amazing complement to the design/heritage of the knife.

I love mine- it's light, delicate and the very fine tip is excellent for the 'gentleman's knife' role- Trimming a loose thread or digging out a splinter.

I love a wharnie too- and open the symmetry of the handle and blade is lovely, especially with the index finger riding the spine.
The polished G10 is something special too in so small a knife- like a modernised micarta
Warhammer 40000 is- basically- Lord Of The Rings on a cocktail of every drug known to man and genuine lunar dust, stuck in a blender with Alien, Mechwarrior, Dune, Starship Troopers, Fahrenheit 451 and Star Wars, bathed in blood, turned up to eleventy billion, set on fire, and catapulted off into space screaming "WAAAGH!" and waving a chainsaw sword- without the happy ending.
