Think it's intended to be worn by you, like a military dog tag. It's listed as a slip joint, but appears to be a non locking ball detent knife. However, the blade is only 1.2" long, so there's probably not enough mass to cause kinetic opening. FWIW, my Pekingese carries a Bug along with his rabies and ID tags.Chopping Broccoli wrote:Is this meant to be an actual dog tag that doubles as a knife? If it is, I want one. What a great way to carry a back up blade if you have a dog. Hope it has a locking mechanism of some kind so it can't injury the dog if it accidentally opens up. H1 steel would be great if the pooch likes to swim.
Hey Stugots-II,Stugots-II wrote:Can anyone tell me it's dimensions closed? L x W x H spyderco doesn'nt really have everything and I am curious with its overall width closed among it all. Hopefully some comparison pictures show up soon too
It's not an exclusive or a sprint so most/all dealers should get it.farnorthdan wrote:Got notice today that my second one has been shipped, this one is coming from knife center or all places.
Oh gotcha. I though the "or all places" was a question instead "of all places".farnorthdan wrote:Understood, just surprised that knife center was shipping, they seem to take longer than most.
I'd be interested to hear a definitive answer on this too. I usually anodize most of my Titanium items, so I'd like to know before mine arrives. The latest BYTE newsletter says Ti, but the youtube intro with Eric, says aluminum.c1829 wrote:Could anyone confirm if the backstrap and pivot ring are indeed Ti? I've heard some people say hard anodized aluminum. It doesnt really behave as anodized Ti in my experience either.
