Now that I've had some time to get acquainted with this knife I must express a few small gripes and praise where it is due. First, the blade centering was off by about 25% and the pivot was very tight. This was no problem, I just adjusted the pivot with my T-10 driver it centered up perfectly and was now at the optimum tension. The blade was very dull, probably the dullest Spyderco I have every seen. This too was not a problem, I sharpen all of my knives when I get them; 30 minutes later I had a very sharp knife. So, after a bit of attention to these issues I now possess the most awesome knife in my collection. I cannot say enough about the authoritative snap with which the blade deploys. The compression lock is so easy to manipulate...I literally flicked and flicked and flicked this blade open for hours carrying it around all over the house and yard flicking open, flicking closed..it's just so over-the-top excellent. I'm completely enamored with this beautiful hollow ground wharncliffe, so thick at the spine and so thin behind the edge..I think that this knife has now bumped the Ti-Millie out of the top slot in my list of favorites. Thanks Spyderco for such an amazing knife...

Great review Ned ! My blade was a tad off but I centered it also and it was a little tight out of the box but a slight adjustment and hours of flicking lol it's smooth as silk now and I rarely miss a flick .
My blade though was razor sharp out of the box like all 8 of my Spydies , guess I was fortunate. I still hit mine with my Sharpmaker working up to the ultra fine and then hit it with my knives plus strop block and it's scary sharp .
Really enjoying this Yo2 so much I've been neglecting my others lol and it carries well to .
For sure my favorite knife all around I've ever owned .
The blade is dead nuts now :D

Well it's official my YoJimbo 2 is my favorite blade . The newness has worn off and I still can't put it down or carried any of my other spydies . Even my new Super Blue Endura or my still in the box Manix 2 s110v or my PM2  Or any other ....
I got the flicking mastered with my thumb seems to be the most consistent almost can't miss but do very well with the index and middle finger . Also closing now one handed is simple and the blade pretty much effortless drops when releasing
I need to give my other spydies some love in the next week or so I'm starting to feel guilty .

From the moment I opened the box, I knew this knife was special. I'm not sure my Spydie collection would have grown much if I had bought this one first. Well, I'd still have the Matriarch and Civilian at least.

Okay, I'd have the others too. LOL

Now what's that release date for the ROC?
