For a stock knife I like the grey Lum Tanto C46GPGY or Vallotton SubHilt. For true beauty in the simple form the MT-18 is hard to beat. The finish and attention to detail along with the almost golden tint to the metal make this knife a work of art. Simply incredible.

For me, the quintessence of Spyderco shapes is the Caly 3. (Caly 3.5 also).
Closed or opened it is perfect, Contrary to the delica or endura for example, that have a gap between the back of the blade and the handle. They are very nice tools, as a ton of Spyderco knives, but there is something missing in the geometry of both closed knives.

I gotta agree on this. Not only is the big Persian an exquisite knife, it beautifully expresses Spyderco's willingness to create/co-create knives that are way outside the box.
