Awesome dye job on the handle!
I'm waiting on a Karahawk. It's iffy as an EDC given our local knife laws... there are no restrictions on the public carry of manually-opening folding knives as work/utility tools, but public carry of knives intended solely as weapons are a no-no, and while I will vigourously argue that a karambit is as much of a tool as any hawkbill knife, I think for most non-knife people, it falls into the "weapon" category. I've always been interested in Sal's take on the classic Southeast Asian utility knife's design, though, and after handling one in-person last week & really liking the ergonomics, I finally pulled the trigger & ordered one for myself.

I have a Bow River in the mail. I'm having a heck of a time getting one. The first order I put in was backordered and the dealer never let me know so I waited and waited for the mail to come in.
The second order I put in with a different dealer is now mysteriously delayed at the post office and hasn't shown movement for a few days now.
The worst part is both of these dealers are ones that I've consistently had great experiences with, over the course of a lot of purchases!
One day I will have my Bow River. I might have to order it from Amazon Prime if it comes to that.

Been lurking recently a lot on various forums to learn more. I found this forum to have the best atmosphere and I also happen to find Spyderco knives interesting. :spyder:

Hey Connor, I thought I might have had to duck, weave and maybe backpedal too when I told beloved wife I was buying a new knife.
As it went she just said, “Yes, of course, a man can never have too many knives, ay?”. I laughed and told her that was very true and she told me I was and idiot. I strongly denied this and ordered my Province. :cool:

Thanks! I'd been going back and forth on getting a Caribbean for a while, as I don't want or need a hi-viz handle on an EDC knife.
After seeing Evil D's dye job, I ordered one, and used a 'Gunmetal' coloured synthetic fabric dye. I like how it turned out too.
After thinning out the edge, and grinding the reinforced tip to a more pointy profile, it's been in the pocket every day. The MXG deep carry Ti clip arrived, and now it's complete, for my purposes.
I hope you enjoy that Karahawk - it looks like a great blade, but would be a bit hard to EDC over here.
