I’ve got a set of natural canvas micarta coming in from Custom Knife Garage for my E4 SE Wharny. Is it strange I’m excited for you to see what that model is all about?

As for this thread, I snagged a Crucarta PM2 yesterday. Probably too small for my hand, but that micarta and Cruwear combo….irresistible!

A Dragonfly 2 KnifeJoy edition- Blue FRN and Damascus blade. I’m thinking it will be a gift to my wife… maybe!

A SS Dragonfly SE was/is my first Spyderco back in 97. I still carry it a lot because the size is so perfect, the ATS-55 steel and serrated teeth are still as aggressive as ever, and the SS handles are easy to hold and provide solidity and mass to the knife. I’m a big fan of the Stainless Steel handles and advise those of you who haven’t tried one for yourselves to do so.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to receiving the New Dragonfly soon!

With the UKPK Salt on backorder at my dealer-of-choice, I decided to sweeten the wait with a Native 5 Salt, which arrived today and is great as expected.

So I snapped and bought a Rex 45 Chief. Gonna have to let the Chef go to justify it, but my experience with Rex in the Shaman was too amazing to let it pass.

Just got some unexepected money.
I'm not settled yet between a N5 LW Maxamet and my first Native chief in S30V. I collect Native 5s, but I'm pretty sure the Chief is very good for me !

They both have the same price at my dealer...
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

The truth is that I've been waiting for the Native chief LW to drop. I really like the LW scales on the Native line. That's why I took the Maxamet and now my N5 line up is full (fluted Ti is missing, but I'll certainly go CRK before this model ^^').

The prices of the Maxamet knives fluctuates a LOT at my dealers, while the Chief is pretty steady. If the Chief LW makes itself wait for too long, I'll make sure to buy the G10 version sooner than later :respect . You are right about the fact that I need one !

I've been on the fence about the Chief for a long time : no hump and backlock are pretty removed from my preferences in Spydies.
But there was one still available in Rex 45, so I figured I'd take the plunge.
It looks like a wholly different animal from the N5.

Since I'm what some people might call an edge junky, the Rex45 Chief is the direction I would take if I didn't wait for the LW version. It's one steel I've yet to test !
