Finally broke down and ordered one of the last sprint runs of the Baby Jess Horn. Early reports of quality issues seem to have slowed sales so I'm curious to see if there is more smoke than flame to those rumors.

Chaparral in Raffir Noble. First Chap and from all I’ve read likely to edge out all but my Magnacut Hogue Deka from my pocket.

Seems like a wonderful knife, glad you were able to find one !
In Europe there is a number of discontinued knives, or older sprint runs, still available at some online dealers. However, it's mostly behemoths and tanks, not fine and thin blades :squinting-tongue . I'd love to have more cutleries and brick and mortar shops here, but this has gone away years ago in France, sadly.
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

Digicam DLC Military. :cheap-sunglasses

I always liked this colour scheme, but never bought one because there was always another sprint/exclusive to get first.

After buying a Digicam DLC PM2 in S45VN recently, and really liking it a lot, I had to get the big brother too.

It is much the same in the US. It’s difficult to find dedicated cutlery shops these days.

I've got a cutlery shoppe wharncliffe PM2 waiting for me in the mailbox and a DLT 20CV DLC/Tan G10 coming tomorrow. The wharncliffe is a gift for my brother who doesn't have anything high quality like this. I've given him a couple civivis in the past but this will be next level for him. The 20CV is for me ;)

Let us know how it is. I avoided it for the same reason, but mine is great. It feels somewhat more like a traditional and slim. Quite nice with a thin grind. My handful of Moki built knives are great.

Fit and finish, along with the action are very good. However, there is a noticeable lock rock when locked open. Not enough to send it back since they would not replace it and also not unsafe. It just not up to the usual tight lockup I have come to expect from Spyderco. If you are on the fence, I would still recommend getting one. The Jess Horn is an excellent design for actual use.

The size fooled me a bit as I was expecting something just slightly larger. This one is about the size of a medium Stockman traditional knife. Perfectly usable and good for bottom of pocket carry.
