Native 5 in Spy27. Will be my first Native 5 and first Golden Back lock that I've heard so much about.
My Wife and youngest son bought me one for my Birthday, great knife, great color, and great steel. You will like it!

It's almost irritating how much pocket time my spy27 native gets, you're gonna love it. Was my first Native 5 as well.

Good to hear! It has been recommend more than once on the forum, so I am humbly taking the advice of more experienced members and gladly putting this in the rotation.

I'm not sure what's going on with all this sock and sock drawer talk lately, but I'm feeling left out...I don't even have a sock drawer! I just stack mine on one of the shelves of the walk in closet. Guess I'm really missing out on something here!
You don't want to know. They are being gross lol
it's not gross. it's in response to a certain member making an inflammatory post about how most people that buy spydercos must just keep them in their sock drawer and not use them because he didn't like his knife.
Page 4 of that thread you linked is the "grossness" I was talking about.
I can assure you that nothing gross was meant by me. It is strictly poking fun at the assertion that we only keep our knives locked away in the sock drawer. Any grossness was brought in by someone else and they are the only ones responsible for that.

I do. And since Maxamet eats abrasive like its paper, I guess there will be some !

With this size and weight, I'm thinking it will be in my pocket more than I would admit. And I love the large and mid-sized blades.

GB2. Second one arrived one week to the day after the (my) first. They were appearing to be going out of stock everywhere last week, so when I found another it was a no brainer to get a backup. And I thought I was done buying backups. But these Taichung Bradleys are that nice. I bought 2 Advocates when they were on the way out as well.

DLT DLC 20CV Yojimbo. Perfect centering and lockup. I thought the tan scales were meh with the satin blade, but something about the combo with the DLC and black hardware really pops.

I just picked up a used Swayback for a great price on Bladeforums and it was delivered today. It is my first high end spyderco (I am more of a user than collector) and i am very impressed. The tip broke and the previous owner sent it back to have it reground. There was quite a bit of steel removed at the edge but for a user I don’t mind and it allowed me to get a knife i ordinarily would never have bought to try out.

I absolutely love the handle shape and slight ramp of the Chap, but also really like the larger blade and handle of the native and P3 lw’s, not to mention being a fan of the comp lock (because of positioning on the back and open frame nature…I’m not a knife fidgeter and use my comp lock just as I do backlocks). I’ve been thinking sage 5 lw might be the perfect combo for me!

Although, I live and play in a humid climate and currently don’t have a need/desire for tool steels over something stainless, so instead of a sage 5, I currently have some Diamond sharpmaker rods and a Bow River inbound today or tomorrow!

Once we see a sage 5 lw in XHP or spy27 (or magnacut), I’m all in! Until then I’m good!

I scored a k390 Urban off eBay (not cheap, tbh), I am super excited. The day I got the standard one I knew I will want one in k390. Now that time has come.
