Which spyderco is in the mail?

Something special in the mail: Stretch 1 ZDP189 BRG.
One of my very first Spydies was a VG10 Stretch 1, its still in my collection. Then Stretch1 was discontinued and I never bought a ZDP189 version like I planned. I tried the Stretch 2 but just didn't like it nearly as much as the original (different ergos and blade shape, less pointy).

Nice!! Don't see many of those around here. Please post some pics! Always debated this knife, but felt my Sage 5 was too similar...though I love those blue weave scales. Great score!

Very impressed with the quality right out of the box (just like every Taichung Spyderco ) and the ergonomics are superb for my XL-XXL sized hands. The knife can't be shaken out and the tuned detent allows for multiple deployment methods! The Domino "feels" light for its size and the texture/grip on both sides seems adequate on first impressions.

It was getting dark here when I opened the box ...so the picture doesn't show how much the blue weave pops. Looking forward to using this beautiful well made knife.

It strikes me as a very good purchase my friend. The blade is extremely sharp. The belly as I expected makes slicing so easy as to to make all straight blades look like a stupid design. The handle is a bit cramped in my hand. My hands are not the largest but I do wear XL gloves when needed.

The trailing point is not sexy. My Woman who is a martial artist with a black belt saw the new knife and in her mood with female issues and being sick on top of it all said what is that?!!!

I said the Serpents tooth. Spyderco calls it the Hundred Pacer as it is based off of an Asian Serpent whose bite will leave you dead within a hundred paces.

She said to my surprise. I like it that tip, that point looks like it can really hurt someone bad.

I replied it is called a trailing point and I imagine it very well can, then proceeded to cut her steak and explained the extreme belly made this an excellent kitchen knife.

She agreed enjoying her steak.

I say this is sleeper the design is not normal not conventional and by goodness belongs in the dark like Sal says but use it and become enamored. This is not one to miss at all.
